These terms govern purchases of Steady Node on the Micro Marty website by consumers and business customers. Steady Node is a wireless DMX data transmission and conversion device for film set lighting control. Consumer rights apply to persons buying outside their trade or professional activity. Other applicable mandatory protections remain unaffected.
2. Specifications, compatibility and use
The product page and documentation describe essential specifications, included accessories, power requirements, compatibility and operating precautions. Check compatibility with your equipment before ordering; support@micromarty.com can help. Follow the safety instructions and radio rules of the country of use. Updates necessary to maintain conformity are supplied as required by law. Incorrect installation caused by inadequate instructions does not remove legal guarantees.
3. Ordering and confirmation
Select the product and destination, provide your details, then review and correct the order summary before accepting these terms and placing an order with an obligation to pay. The contract is concluded when payment is confirmed. Order confirmation and retainable contract information are sent by email. Unavailable products cannot be ordered. If unavailability arises after payment, we notify you and refund the amounts for the order we cannot fulfil, without imposing a substitute product.
Orders may be placed in French or English. The terms presented when the order is placed apply; later amendments do not change an existing contract. Electronic contracts worth at least EUR 120 are archived for ten years under Articles L.213-1, D.213-1 and D.213-2 of the French Consumer Code. Request access to your contract at sales@micromarty.com.
4. Prices, taxes and payment
The applicable price, payment currency, taxes and any delivery charges are shown in the summary before confirmation. Consumer amounts include applicable taxes. Business VAT exemptions apply only where legal conditions and required evidence are met. The confirmed total is not altered by later exchange-rate movements; your bank may charge its own conversion fees. Full payment is due when ordering using the methods actually offered by Stripe at checkout. The website does not retain full card numbers. An invoice is made available to you.
5. Delivery, customs and risk
Available destinations and delivery arrangements are shown before payment. The delivery date or period stated when ordering binds the seller; a dispatch estimate is not a delivery date. If no date or period is agreed, delivery takes place without undue delay and within thirty days of contract conclusion. In case of delay, consumers may suspend payment and terminate under Articles L.216-6 and L.216-7, including after an unsuccessful request to deliver within a reasonable additional period, or immediately if delivery is refused or an agreed essential deadline is missed. Payments are then refunded within fourteen days, without prejudice to statutory increases.
Where the summary states DDP delivery (duties paid), the seller bears the applicable customs formalities and import duties and taxes included in that offer. For other deliveries outside the EU fiscal territory, any import duties and taxes payable by you are disclosed before ordering. Contact sales@micromarty.com before paying a demand for fees inconsistent with a DDP order. Consumer risk passes on physical possession, except where the consumer independently appoints a carrier not offered by the seller. Report delivery incidents; failing to reserve rights with the carrier does not remove your rights against the seller.
6. Withdrawal and returns
Consumers have fourteen days starting the day after they or their designated third party other than the carrier receive the goods to notify withdrawal without giving a reason. For a single order delivered as separate goods, the period starts on receipt of the last item. If the last day is a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday or non-working day, it extends to the next working day. Failure to provide the required withdrawal information triggers the statutory extension.
Give notice to Etienne Martorell — EI, 255 Chemin des Esclayers, 05600, Eygliers, France, sales@micromarty.com, using the model form, any unambiguous declaration, or the “Withdraw from your contract here” function. The model form is optional. No return authorisation number is required to exercise this right.
Return address: Etienne Martorell — Micro Marty, 255 Chemin des Esclayers, 05600 Eygliers, France. Return the goods and accessories without undue delay and within fourteen days after notice. Direct return costs are your responsibility for withdrawal. Contact us if you need logistical help; waiting for a response is not a condition for your right.
You may inspect and test the product as necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. Excess use may result in a deduction only for justified diminished value if you were informed of your right; there is no flat restocking fee. Opening the packaging does not remove withdrawal rights. Protect the goods during transport; original packaging is recommended but not mandatory.
We refund payments received, including initial standard delivery charges, without fees and using the original payment method unless you expressly agree to a different free method. The extra cost of a more expensive delivery method you selected is not refunded. Refunds are due within fourteen days of notice; they may be withheld until receipt of the goods or evidence of dispatch, whichever occurs first, unless we offer to collect the goods ourselves. For partial returns, delivery charges are refunded to the extent legally due.
7. Guarantees and after-sales service
The seller identified in section 1 is responsible for legal guarantees. Contact support@micromarty.com or the postal address and telephone in section 1. Conformity repairs or replacements are free, including necessary transport. Contact us to arrange the return. Prior authorisation, product registration or original packaging are not conditions for exercising legal guarantees. Damage from use contrary to instructions is assessed individually and does not justify a blanket warranty exclusion. Any commercial warranty must have separate terms and does not reduce legal guarantees.
Legal guarantees — English translation of the statutory box in Annex A to Article D.211-2 of the French Consumer Code
Consumers have two years from delivery of the goods to invoke the legal conformity guarantee if a conformity defect appears. During that period, they need only establish the existence of the defect, not when it appeared.
If the sale contract provides continuous supply of digital content or a digital service for more than two years, the legal guarantee applies to that content or service throughout the contractual supply period. During that period, consumers need only establish the existence of a defect affecting the content or service, not when it appeared.
The legal conformity guarantee requires the seller, where applicable, to provide all updates necessary to maintain conformity.
Consumers are entitled to repair or replacement within thirty days of their request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience.
If the goods are repaired under the conformity guarantee, the original guarantee is extended by six months.
If a consumer requests repair but the seller imposes replacement, the conformity guarantee is renewed for two years from replacement.
Consumers may keep the goods and obtain a price reduction, or terminate the contract and receive a full refund on return of the goods, if:
1. The seller refuses repair or replacement;
2. Repair or replacement takes more than thirty days;
3. Repair or replacement causes significant inconvenience, including where the consumer permanently bears collection or removal costs for non-conforming goods or installation costs for repaired or replacement goods;
4. The conformity defect remains after an unsuccessful attempt by the seller to remedy it.
Consumers may also obtain a price reduction or terminate immediately if the defect is sufficiently serious to justify this, without first requesting repair or replacement.
Consumers cannot terminate the sale for a minor conformity defect.
Any period during which the goods are unavailable for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee period until the restored goods are delivered.
These rights arise under Articles L.217-1 to L.217-32 of the French Consumer Code.
A seller who obstructs the conformity guarantee in bad faith may incur a civil fine of up to EUR 300,000, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L.241-5 of the French Consumer Code).
Consumers also benefit from the legal hidden-defect guarantee under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code for two years from discovery of the defect. They may keep the goods and obtain a price reduction, or receive a full refund on returning them.
8. Business customers
Purchases for your trade or profession are business purchases. Consumer Code withdrawal rights and conformity guarantees do not automatically apply, subject to statutory extensions or protections. The Civil Code hidden-defect guarantee remains applicable. No clause limits liability for personal injury, fraud or gross negligence. Full advance payment is required and no credit is offered. If an amount due from a business customer remains unpaid, late-payment interest accrues from the day after its due date at the ECB refinancing rate plus ten percentage points, with a EUR 40 recovery charge under Articles L.441-10 and D.441-5 of the French Commercial Code; documented additional recovery costs may be requested where costs exceed that amount.
9. Environment and end of life
Do not dispose of electrical equipment or batteries in household waste; use appropriate collection schemes. Contact support@micromarty.com before delivery to arrange free take-back of an equivalent used electrical device when purchasing a new one, subject to applicable legal conditions. Do not remove a battery for return without following safety instructions.
Electrical and electronic equipment — IDU : to be confirmed before opening for applicable schemes
Packaging — IDU : to be confirmed before opening for applicable schemes
Batteries, if applicable — IDU : to be confirmed before opening for applicable schemes

French law applies without depriving consumers of applicable mandatory protections of their country of residence where required by law. Jurisdiction is determined by applicable legal rules. Mediation is optional for consumers and does not prevent court proceedings. No exclusive court clause is imposed on consumers.
