Troubleshooting ⌄

I/ If the CRMX range doesn’t meet your expectations:

  • Obstacles between the Steady Node’s antennas and the fixtures reduce CRMX range.
  • Numerous transmissions from other devices on the 2.4GHz frequency reduce range.
  1. Verify that your antennas are not damaged and that they are screwed tight.
  2. Position the antennas perpendicular to the direction of the fixtures you want to control.
  3. Extend your Steady Node using a long USB-C to USB-C cable.
  4. Use two Moonlights, one in RX, the other in TX to repeat the CRMX signal.

II/ If you cannot transmit CRMX, follow these steps in order:

  1. Connect the Steady Node, press the Steady Node’s “reset” button with a pen.
  2. Follow the quick start guide. If this does not solve your problem, proceed to the following steps.
  3. Open the iPad’s settings. Verify that there is an “Ethernet” menu between the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” menus.
  4. If not: Verify that the USB-C cable and the iPad’s USB-C port are capable of powering and exchanging data with other USB 2.0 device.
  5. Open the iPad’s “Ethernet” menu and click on Steady Node.
  6. Verify that the IP configuration is set to Automatic. The IP fields should fill automatically after a few seconds:
    IP Address10.0.0.2
    Subnet Mask255.0.0.0
    Router— empty —
  7. If not: Switch to Manual mode instead of Automatic and manually type in the addresses above.
  8. Verify that you have access to the Steady Node’s web configuration interface. Open Safari, in the URL bar, type: steadynode.local or 10.0.0.1
  9. If the web interface is accessible, click on Reset Default Settings.
  • You should have no problem if you configure your DMX console app as described in the Quick Start Guide.

If you still encounter problems:

  • Restart the DMX console app.
